Hale Family Tree!
While relatives were here visiting for Thanksgiving in November 2006, my sister and I took to the Spencer County, Indiana cemeteries in search of our long, lost relatives. We were both born and raised in Vanderburgh County, Indiana and always knew our relatives were from Spencer County, but we never had the chance to go looking for them. It was very exciting to find their graves and, at the end of the day, it was very hard to leave them. It finally gave us that connection, which we knew was there, but never really felt. In December 2006, I went to the Spencer County Public Library to do research in their genealogy department. They have file cabinets loaded with family files researched and contributed by families. It was very tedious work. Many of the documents were copies, but handwritten and very hard to read. I took pictures of all I found relevant. I hope these pages help you in your search for your long, lost relatives.
