Baldknobbers Jamboree Pix!
In July 2006, on the way to my nephew's wedding in Oklahoma, my mom and I stopped in Branson, Missouri. We ate at the Baldknobbers Restaurant. It is located next door to the Baldknobbers Jamboree and offers a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. For dinner, we ate from the "home-cooked" buffet. After dinner, we walked over to the theatre. Started in 1959, the Baldknobbers Jamboree claims to be the first country and comedy show in Branson. Brothers, Bill, Jim, Lyle, and Bob Mabe started it with 50 folding chairs in Branson's City Hall. There is still Mabe blood flowing through today's show. Brent Mabe is the son of Lyle. Tim "Droopy Drawers Jr." Mabe is the son of Jim. Tim's son, Brandon, is also in the show. Joy Bilyeu, Denton Mabe, and Garrett Mabe are the grandchildren of Bill.
